When ordering any gate, be sure that your measurements are accurate. Always measure the bottom and top between each post. The help us determine which hinge is right for your application, please specify if you are attaching to a steel or wood post. A steel post will receive a 1/2" weldable hinge to field weld to the existing post, the other half of the hinge will be attached to the gate. A wood post will receive 2 1/2" hinges mounted to a flat plate that will lag into your existing wood post with a 4" long 1/2 lag bolt (Not Supplied). All gates will come from us with a black satin finish which will serve as a prinmer coat only. The final painting of gate must be provided by the customer after final installation. We only provide a primer coat because of the shipping and handling problems with scratching the paint. If the item is going to be picked up, we can paint the final coat.
